E.M. Winston Band Instruments from Music Treasures Co.
The E.M. Winston band instrument company was founded in 1980 by David Ginott. As President of his own school music retail stores, he avidly supported music education as well as school music programs throughout the world. His vision was to offer the best quality musical instruments at the most affordable prices. David relied upon input from educators and his staff for product improvements and was constantly designing and consulting with manufacturers to build the finest musical instruments that offer the best overall value to the performer. “We will always strive to find new and improved methods to refine the quality of our instruments”, said Ginott.
Our clarinets are very
popular with students because of their easy response, smooth key
action and beautiful tone. The scale is even and our instruments
respond well at all dynamic levels. Quality and durability are also
key features for our line.
Our flutes are durable in their construction and will provide
years of outstanding performance with a minimum of maintenance. The tone is warm and
centered with good intonation throughout the entire scale. Our head
joints are designed to offer a quick and easy response. The key work
is smooth and light allowing the player to maneuver around the
instrument with ease.
Adolf
Sax designed the soprano saxophone to be straight so that the bell
could be directed toward the audience when played. This works fine for players who stand, however
many players prefer to sit therefore
a curved neck makes it easier to perform
while seated. We offer an instrument with interchangeable
necks allowing the player the most versatility for their playing
preference.
Our instruments represent the culmination of many years of
experience in the production of the saxophone. Our technicians and
craftsman have spared no expense in the development of these
instruments and have achieved a new level in performance to meet the
needs of today’s musicians. We use only the best materials to
achieve the best tone quality and durability. Computer modeling
techniques are employed to assure consistency of each instrument and
in the final stage of production each instrument is hand adjusted to
make sure that the instrument you receive is ready to meet the
toughest standards… yours.
Our
tenor saxophones offer superb resonance and a refined tone quality. Superb intonation and
evenness in all playing ranges at all dynamic levels are also their
playing characteristics. Many
players prefer our instruments for their warm, dark tone quality and
comfortable hand positioning.
Our
baritone saxophone is one of the best quality and most economically
priced baritone saxophones on the market today. These fine
instruments are recommended by educators around the country and are
shop adjusted to meet the needs of the most discriminating
performers.
Our brass instruments are known for their ease of response and
clarity of sound. They are constructed of durable materials and will
give many years of trouble-free performance. Each instrument will
have features usually found on more professional lines of
instruments. Our brass instruments offer the best quality and best
overall value at any price.
Our student trumpets offer great projection and easy response.
The tone color is consistent throughout all playing ranges and at
all dynamic levels. This quality is accomplished through our special
pluzuma welding process, which fuses the bell sections together,
allowing for a continuous and more even vibration. Our valve action
is quick and light, which is due to the stainless steel that is used
for the pistons. Durability, performance and price make our
instruments the logical choice for anyone aspiring to play trumpet.
From alto to bass, our line
up of trombones will offer the best tone quality and smoothest hand
slides at their price points. Our bell sections feature a two-piece
constructed bell with a pluzuma weld that fuses the bell sections
together, which allows for a continuous and more even vibration. The
result will be a warmer tone color with an easy response and
improved projection.
The
baritone horn is similar to the alto horn in its function but
pitched in Bb. Our instrument has a warm sonorous tone quality with
accurate pitch. The cylindrical bore on our instrument is slightly
smaller than other maker’s instruments. This will allow a young
player the ability to play throughout the full range of the
instrument with greater ease and flexibility.
The Euphonium appearance is similar to that of a small tuba
and has a conical bore. The tone is warmer than a baritone and is
mostly used in brass bands or concert bands as a solo instrument.
The most outstanding feature of our euphonium is its beautiful tone.
The tone is warm and centered throughout the playing range. Its
precision fit pistons makes playing fast passages smooth and easy.
